I was kind of pumped about various things. Finally getting movement on the MRI so I can move on to whatever surgery and/or rehab to get the damn thing fixed. Feet dragging (not by me) has kind of really made for slow going since the first of the year. I had really expected it to be taken care of by now.
Then yesterday evening before Mom came home. The call from Palestine hospital informing me that I would need to pay 1/2 down (600 bucks) and get billed for the remaining amt in order to proceed. I don't know what I was thinking before. I kind of knew the cost was higher around here...but 1200 bucks? I guess that's what did it. I wasn't expecting to have to pay that much. I knew it would be m ore if we did it here...
So here's the rundown:
- Informed by Palestine hospital of the cost of my MRI and how much I would be required to pay up from in order to get it ($600)
- The realization that I would NOT be able to submit a claim for the overwhelming marjority of the $$ paid to ETFM. Since it was from LAST year!
- The realization that I would probably NOT be getting back Vanilla $$ - no receipt.
Sooo...I'm out 300 bucks...money that was either coming directly to me and or was going to pay Mom $$ i owed for the fees paid to the dr. Don't want her on my back about "owing" or "Lard, going into debt) and whatever. PLUS a worry that we might not get Refund on 2/4...
