Well, after 9+ years of unemployment, this is what I see:
This might be a little extreme due to current and ongoing crises, nonetheless, it is what it is. Dealing with a overpowering burden of guilt and shame that was already bad enough before last year. Obviously it gets worse over time. I don't think it helps much turning 50. True, that's just a number - and I believe that - however, it doesn't lessen the impact of the fact that those 9 years have just pushed me closer to being "really" old. Along the way, credit issues arise, stupidity...
