I just had an image flash through my mind of getting everything (the biggies) done on my "neverending list" over the next couple of things. Fantasy? Perhaps. Most certainly, it will take a lot more effort and concentration. Most of the things like that I despise for one reason or another. Usually there's something confusing and/or seemingly impossible involved. Sometimes I'm just very afraid of the answer I'll get - when it comes down to doing something like calling Red Rock Financial. It would be nice. Sometimes I just have no good reason - like exploring our bills and seeing what can be cut. Stuff like the FIOS package. Now that would be better suited to someone like Charles (who loves to call people up on the phone and demand stuff).
Some Ideas:
- Expensive summer bills. Explore the cost of an attic fan (If I/We are still here)
- Try to get one of those vent things for my office to keep it cooler
- Get one of the ceiling fans in here.
- Get the wired networking set up (in wall)
- Possible renter?
- Truck cleaning
- Seat cover/drink holder
Well, I haven't gotten as much done as I would have liked so far, but (surprisingly - well, I was going to say it had only been about an hour and twenty minutes but it's probably been more like 1:45). Regardless, I did manage to steam clean several nasty areas in the bedroom, including Teddy's latest pee spot. Poor Ted. Maybe it's just coincidence, but he's been caught pissing in the house quite a bit lately. He could have something wrong with him and/or he could just be getting old. We've had him 7 years now, so he's at least 7.5 years old, if not up to 8.5 years old.
But I digress. Despite 9 years fraught with disappointments over numerous times that I was "gonna get something done" that day...I intend to "take care of bidness" the next couple of days. I'm not sure I can get everything resolved on this list, but I'd sure like to buckle down and try.
Just to jog my nearly 50 year old memory, here's that list again:
- House - Communication has been sent regarding Special Forbearance. I'd like to include the detail that Shelly was in the hospital for over a week due to illness===>Lost income, etc. Again - besides what seems to be rather cheesy or even perhaps ridiculous "schemes" according to several websites about preventing/delaying foreclosure - the SF is about our last good shot short of Chapter 13, and even that won't be easy to get, much less do. The idea would be to give us 4-6 months or so to get back on our feet, do a better job of reducing expenses and increasing income to the point where we can qualify for a loan mod. That being said - if they refuse to give us one, I will call/email everyone in management at Wells Fargo and complain to every agency possible, until I get results. I'm not going to shut up or just be ignored about this.
- Red Rock Financial - I'm sure I won't like the news, but I need to know what we owe/can work out/etc anyway.
- Budget/Finances - Once again. If research needs to be done, do it. One thing that comes to mind is researching thrifty budgets (food budgets) and follow them. Food has to be one our worst culprits, budgetwise. The other two things are cable and phone. Charles might be able to help get the FIOS package reduced. I really don't want to go down on the internet speeds, but the other shit I really don't care about.
- I need to call Mom and tell her we need the 1K for a vehicle. Obviously this is not the case (at this time) - and I don't know when we will be able to use it - but we're going to be cutting it close and I want it for emergencies
- JPS Connect. Very necessary.
- VZW - Get Jolene's phone number transferred to her own account - hopefully we can get Todd a new phone on a new line for his birthday.
